And there we find new labels Edith A. Miller and Hare + Hart, both of whom are coming to revenvert.com for SS14. Miller was formed by two girls who met at a party on Fire Island (we like them already) and now produce cotton basics in a family-run factory in Philadelphia that otherwise would be out of business.
We also spent some time at the Steven Alan showroom in Tribeca, who stocks all up and coming independent designers. Whilst there, we found supermodel Liya Kebede’s line Lemlem, all hand-knit in Ethiopia with fair-trade practices. We’re thinking new resortwear at rêve…
We also stopped by to see Jennie at Hare + Hart, and see the new bags in from Buenos Ares. All of their bags are used from the byproduct of beautiful Argentinian nappa leather, and naturally tanned so no bad chemicals. Plus they are gorgeous and also incorporate some virgin cow hide for a fur accent. We can’t wait to get them to London.
We also somehow managed to have a little fun and make our way out to Brooklyn to explore vintage and discover some fabulous street food with our favorite Ellie Blue.
